A recent study conducted by the Custom Publishing Council and Publications Management magazine shows that overall custom publishing expenditures this year dipped to 20 percent. Custom publishing expenditures increased 6 percent in for profit companies but declined 33 percent in non profits. On the rise, however, is the use of outside agencies to create custom publications. Of the 200 companies surveyed, 40 percent said they were hoping to increase custom publishing expenditures in 2008 and 48 percent indicated they would remain the same. The article in Folio Magazine also includes comments from Lori Rosen, executive director for the Custom Publishing Council.
